Level 7 (Brown Belt)

Speed, Consistency, Strength, Power, and Control are
necessary to keep up with this
50 minute class. Level 7 has 2 Kata requirements: Tekki Shodan &
Bassai Dai with
Kummite #3. Bassai Dai is a winner at tournaments for the Advanced
Student.
Double Kicks are implemented to improve balance such as:
Double Roundhouse Low, Chamber and Roundhouse High,

Roundhouse Kick, Chamber, Side Kick,

Level 8 (Brown-Stripe Belt)

Basics are the focus of Level 8 once again. Power comes
from the body remembering the Repetitive motion of the Basic Blocks, Punches and
Kicks. In the Level 8 Video Strengthening Hand Combinations are practiced
like the
Down Block with a Reverse Punch,

Middle Block with a Reverse Punch and

High Block with a Reverse Punch.

Flexibility is a must at this level.
The Requirement Kata is Empi and the Kummite is #4.

Level 9 ( Red Belt)

Level 9 is the last DVD in the series that has an actual
classroom workout preceding the requirement section. At this level the
student will learn the Kata, Kanku Dai. It has 69 moves and is a
combination of several of the Katas that have been learned previously. It
is important to go back and practice the other Katas to alleviate
confusion. The other requirement is Kummite #5. The drills at this
level are more complex. It is very important to make each stance distinct.
Practice this drill for better coordination.
Reverse Punch, Turn into a Fighting Stance and Down Block, Reverse Punch,

Turn Back into a Fighting Stance and Down Block, Reverse Punch.

Do this drill with a High Block and an Inside Middle Block. Order the

Level 10 is a complete review of all the requirements from
Level 1 through Level 9.
The requirements are gone over with no explanation and at full speed. If
the student has completed all of the prior levels, he/she will have no problem
keeping up. This video is not designed to circumvent all the other videos.
The requirements for Level 10 are Kanku Shodan and Kummite #6. The
requirements are gone over slowly as in the other DVDs. At Level 10, the
student should be able to workout for an hour and a half without getting winded
or worn out. It usually takes about three and a half years to become a
Black Belt. Although, this system is designed to allow the student to
advance as fast as the student desires, it should also be understood that a
Black Belt Certificate will not be awarded to anyone not in Black Belt condition
and must demonstrate requirements with skill and understanding of why the moves
are made.
